There’s a British invasion happening in Hollywood at the moment. Earlier this week we learned that English actor Henry Cavill would be starring as Superman in the reboot, “The Social Network” star Andrew Garfield is heating up every award season red carpet, and Tom Sturridge stars opposite Rachel Bilson in this week’s release, Waiting For Forever. They’re just a handful of the handsome guys from overseas who are making a big impact stateside. Check out these up-and-coming British actors!

What’s Next for Tom?

In an interview with TeenHollywood they asked Tom what was next for him

I just finished doing On the Road and then, I’m going to go back to London, where I’m doing a play at the Royal Court, called “Wastwater

Tom will be working again with playwright Simon Stephens beginning March 31st and ending May 7th, not sure which character is his but for more information, dates and play times you can visit their site here

And just because I think it sounds amazing for those who don’t want to click:

“You make one decision. It stays with you. It’s like the consequences of it get into your bones.”

Set on the edges of Heathrow Airport, Wastwater is an elliptical triptych – a snapshot of three different couples who make a choice that will define the fallout of their future.

Harry is on the point of leaving England. Frieda knows she will never see him again.
Lisa and Mark are on the point of a sexual betrayal that takes them into a place darker than they ever thought possible.
Sian has a terrifying deal for Jonathan. She isn’t going to take no for an answer.

Tech~ (with many thanks to Tracy for bringing this to my attention!)

NY Daily News Article

Edit: Thanks to the many people who have contacted me to clarify some information! Tom never said Robert’s name, but in fact only said he was at a friend’s house.

Hello visitors,

The NY Daily News recently published an article on Tom with regards to Waiting For Forever on their website.

Tom Sturridge has his buddy Rob Pattinson to thank for his most recent movie role.

At Saturday’s New York premiere of his latest flick, “Waiting for Forever,” Sturridge revealed director James Keach originally wanted the “Twilight” star for the part. “I saw the script on the floor of Rob’s apartment when I was staying on his sofa,” Sturridge said.

But the equally hunky Brit knew he could play the part of a hopeless romantic just as well as Pattinson – and even top him.

“I thought to myself, ‘I could do this better than he could!’, so I called up my agent the next morning. They were kind enough to let me audition and apparently they saw something in me.”
